PROFILE
JONAS ANDERSSON races for his native Team Sweden and is one of the most fully committed drivers on the world tour. He missed out on a second World Championship success by the narrowest and cruellest of margins at the final race of the 2022 season after starting the year as the defending World Champion.
A model of consistency since he burst on to the F1H2O scene in 2006, the Frovi racer has finished fourth, third and second on two occasions in a career where he claimed an 11th career GP win from pole position at the second round of the 2023 season in Zhengzhou to lead the series after two rounds.
From his 112 Grand Prix starts he has reached the podium 28 times and has qualified in pole position nine times. His first win came in St Petersburg in 2008 on his way to third overall in the championship.
Andersson graduated to F1H2O after a very successful run in F2000 racing in both Europe and the Middle East, winning the F2000 World Championship with back-to-back titles in 2003 and in 2004.
