PROFILE

RUSTY WYATT is a breakout star who enjoyed a stunning rookie season in 2024 and proved that his top results were anything but a fluke in the subsequent 2025 season.

Hailing from Innisfil in Ontario, Wyatt learnt his racing trade across a series of North America championships, including the T-850 category for which he won the Canadian Boating Federation’s Rookie of the Year in 2012, and later Formula 2 and the American Powerboat Championship.

He made the move to F1H2O in 2024 to race for the newly formed Sharjah Team, making a splash from the start with a win in his very first race in the Grand Prix of Indonesia. More victories that season in Sardinia and Shanghai saw Wyatt go on an impressive title charge in his stunning first season, but the fairytale was not to be due to a costly retirement in Zhengzhou that delivered the title to the experienced Jonas Andersson.

A runner-up in his rookie season, expectations were high for Wyatt coming into 2025, especially after he made it two opening Grand Prix victories in a row on his return to Indonesia for 2025’s opening race. Third place finishes in Zhengzhou and Sharjah proved insufficient in overcoming the points loss from DNFs in Shanghai and Jeddah, meaning the Canadian slipped to a third place finish in the championship in his second season in F1H2O, leaving him hungry for the all-elusive maiden world championship.
