Tuesday, March 30 - China CTIC Team have confirmed Peter Morin and Brent Dillard as their lead drivers for the 2026 season, meaning the team are returning to the line- up last fielded for the 2024 season.
Back surgery at the beginning of last year meant that Dillard missed most of the season recovering, racing in only the final Grand Prix of the season. China CTIC therefore cycled through various back up drivers in Dillard’s absence, with Grant Trask racing for the team in Indonesia in the opening Grand Prix of 2025, followed by Kyle Maskall for the two Grand Prix in China, and Stefan Hagin making his F1H2O debut with the team at the Grand Prix of Jeddah.
One driver did remain a constant throughout 2025 though, as Peter Morin raced every Grand Prix of 2025 to finish the season in seventh place. Morin positioned consistently well throughout the season, but proved unable to break into the top podium positions. Strong finishes in the Sprint Races, including second and third place finishes, demonstrated the fast pace the Frenchman is capable of. He goes into the 2026 season hoping to once again compete at the very top of the table, improving on his third and fourth place finishes in the Drivers’ World Championship in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
This year Dillard is set to be a consistent starter for China CTIC Team, who will be hoping the American’s return will see them rise back up the Teams’ World Championship rankings. The team finished a distant fourth last season, but achieved convincing third place finishes when they last ran the same Morin and Dillard line-up in 2023 and 2024.
