Sunday, February 26:  Team Abu Dhabi’s Shaun Torrente came off this morning’s Qualifying session thinking he had taken his 11th career pole only to find out minutes later that the U.I.M. officials determined he had short cutted the race circuit with seconds remaining to lay down the fast time of the morning. After video review his fast lap was thrown out giving nine year veteran Bartek Marszalek his first ever pole with a time of 58.21 seconds, less than 4/100th’s faster than Torrente and will the field of 20 drivers from 12 countries for the first of two back to back 20 minute sprints for the Kopiko Grand Prix of Indonesia.
