PROFILE

ALBERTO COMPARATO is one of the paddock’s second generation drivers, following in the footsteps of his father and legendary Italian racer Fabio Comparato, who continues to feature on the racing circuit as one of Alberto’s mechanics.

The junior Comparato joined the F1H2O tour with an impressive CV for someone so young: he won the 2018 UIM F2 World Championship to add to his World, European and National titles in the UIM F4 Championship. With such an impressive racing record, making the step up to F1H2O was a natural progression, and so Alberto made his racing debut at just twenty-one years old in the 2019 season, achieving an impressive tenth place finish in his first year in the championship.

The Italian gained his first podium finish in 2022, having finished third in Sharjah. His strong showing led Team Abu Dhabi to sign Comparato for the 2024 season, but the partnership proved ill-fated after a string of poor results which led to a mutual agreement to part ways. Alberto therefore returned to racing for his own Comparato F1 Team, picking up strong points during Sprint Races but falling foul of four consecutive DNFs that limited his tally for the 2025 season and saw him finish in eleventh place. This season he has joined forces with legendary driver Sami Selio under the Comparato Racing banner, hoping to capitalise on the experience of his new team mate and team manager to get back into the top ten.
