PROFILE

PHILIPPE CHIAPPE is one of only three drivers to claim a hat-trick of titles in the sports’ 35-year-history, and finished runner-up in the 2017 title race and fifth last year.

He joined the F1H2O tour for the first time in Sharjah in 2002 and competed in over 80 races and 11 racing seasons before he earned his first victory in Kyiv at the Grand Prix of Ukraine in 2013.

His first podium was in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2009, his first pole position in Abu Dhabi in 2014. His three-year title winning run since 2014 has seen him add a further 8 race wins to his total podium tally of 35.

He has won the French Endurance Championship twice and is a a five time winner of the classic Rouen 24hr.
