TORRENTE LOOKING TO FIGHT FOR EVERY POINT
F1H2O

Sunday, 4 September, HARBIN (China): Victory Team’s Shaun Torrente says he will fight for every place and every point in order not to lose his grip in the current three-way title fight. “We need something special today. I am not going to give away my shot at the championship here.” he said.

Torrente, currently in third place in the standings behind Alex Carella and Philippe Chiappe failed to get through to the ‘shootout’ in yesterday’s BRM qualifying and will start the UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Harbin from eighth place. “Yesterday my fear was that I wouldn’t make it in to the shootout and it happened,” he said. “I struggled in the morning with a second choice propeller because the one I planned to use just wasn’t working on this circuit. But I always felt if I got into Q3 [shootout] I would be okay. But it didn’t happen.”

“Alex is ahead of me Philippe is some way back so we will see. We will have to fight to keep our run of results going but it will be hard. This is not a circuit for overtaking as far as I can see.  But we will soon find out.”
